He cannot succeed in the knowledge of Dharma, and Vedas. as also is the act of sacrifices, Yajnas, and relating to life, etc. Therefore it is essential for a man that he should try to accomplish all his desires, by restraining all his five senses, five organs and Mind, as also preserving it in a regulated life, as regards the meals, walkings, and Yogic exercises, etc. One must give successive preference to the riches, relation, age, action and pious knowledge, in that order. According to the former butchery, meat-eating, drinking of purifies or smelling things, etc. is prescribed; while medically each thing has to be described according to its scientific values. Therefore, one must not kill animals, more Continue from last issue particularly the milch and beneflcient animals, like cow, goat, etc. A cow, with its progenies, satisfies millions of people, if counted properly. The same is true in case af goat, etc. Violent and killer animals might be allowed to be killed according to the law of the land, only to save others from their vagaries, but not for eating their meat, as that will make its eaters violent and aggressive in nature. No undue consideration should be given to the place, method and various other aspects of cooking. It may be cooked anywhere, if only the place is good and attractive.
