The trailer of a film based on love-jihad was released on Friday (13 August 2021). The film titled The Conversion is based on the same social problem that Hindu girls are facing today in many states of the country. The film will be released in September 2021. Directed by Vinod Tiwari and produced under the banner of Nostrum Entertainment Hub, the trailer of the film reveals that the film is the story of a Hindu girl who lives in a Hindu name like ‘Bablu’. She falls in love with a Muslim boy. She goes against her family and marries him, but after marriage she is treated very badly. The girl, freed from the clutches of her Muslim husband, undertakes to save Hindu girls from this deception and conspiracy.
Talking about the film, director Vinod Tiwari says that he was waiting for this opportunity for a long time, not because this film is important for him but because the story of this film will bring awareness among today’s youth. He also said that the film is not just a love triangle, but it is based on a sensitive issue like conversion after love marriage in India.
However, while Bollywood hesitates to deal with such sensitive issues, its effort to bring to the fore a religious problem of modern India through a film is also being appreciated. Many users are seen promoting this film on Twitter. By the way, Bollywood’s mainstream filmmakers and directors are seen making such films, far from making anti-Hindu films.
The film had to face opposition along with support. After the release of the poster of The Conversion last month, #BoycottTheConversionMovie was trended in protest against it. It was being said that the film would send a wrong message about the Muslim community.
