Despite the ban on the celebration of Chhath festival on the banks of Yamuna, people were seen taking a bath in the Yamuna. Seeing the view, it can easily be said that faith dominates any restriction and infection. Perhaps people do not know how bad this dip of faith in Yamuna can affect their health.

Yamuna is considered as a holy river of India. It is the largest tributary of the Ganges river, which originates from a place called Yamunotri in Uttarakhand. Is. But on the way, his water does not know how much smell, how much garbage, how many dirty drains, and toxic chemicals released from factories carry with them.

Before and after this, the governments so far have spent thousands of crores on cleaning the Yamuna river. But the Yamuna river still remains unhygienic.

Along with the previous BJP and Congress governments, the current Aam Aadmi Party government of Delhi has also spent crores of rupees on cleaning the Yamuna or has belched. But the condition of Yamuna still remains from bad to worse.

The Yamuna river, which is called the lifeline of the capital, is in bad shape due to dirt and pollution. This is the condition when hundreds of crores of rupees were wasted like water in the name of cleaning it.

The condition is that due to water hyacinth and litter at places, the stream of the river is coming to a standstill and the water is rotting due to accumulation of dirt on the banks.

Between 2018 and 2021, about Rs 200 crore has been allocated, in which a huge amount has also been spent, despite this, the condition of Yamuna is getting worse. However, it was told then that 38 big drains, including hundreds of small drains of the capital, fall into the Yamuna. In order to clean the water of these 38 big drains, sewage treatment plants were to be installed on all these drains, but, the Delhi government could not do so, due to which the polluted water of all the drains is making it poisonous by falling into the river.

The situation is that due to the foul smell of the polluted water, it becomes difficult to even stop for a few moments on the banks of the river. Look amazing, this Yamuna passes through here and meets at Prayagraj Sangam. And the question also becomes that who and where is the water in which people are bathing in Prayag Raj, because there is no Yamuna in front of Delhi’s Wazirabad, it is only the water of dirty drains.

Now the question is, will Yamuna become clean by doing politics and making accusations, will its water sparkle and she will return to her pure form of Yamunotri?
